Q
What are the three types of quantitative data?
A
- Discrete - A set of finite data values (e.g. count or score), integers only
- Continuous - Values in a continuous range (e.g. temperature or height)
- Nominal - Values represented by labels/names (e.g. 1=good, 2=bad)

Q
What are the three types of scales?
A
- Ordinal - Number indicates position in a list, ranking
- Interval - Measurement between values is proportional through the range (e.g. time, ruler)
- Ration - Ratio between intervals is independent of the unit of measurement or zero point (e.g. floor area ratio)
