Q

What are the three types of quantitative data?

A
  1. Discrete - A set of finite data values (e.g. count or score), integers only
  2. Continuous - Values in a continuous range (e.g. temperature or height)

Q

What are the three types of scales?

A
  1. Ordinal - Number indicates position in a list, ranking
  2. Interval - Measurement between values is proportional through the range (e.g. time, ruler)
  3. Ration - Ratio between intervals is independent of the unit of measurement or zero point (e.g. floor area ratio)
