Q

EXPLAIN HOW TO CARRY OUT PRACTICAL FOR RESISTANCE OF A WIRE

A

1) Set circuit up with voltmeter in parallel to wire and ammeter in series
2) Record length of wire starting at 1m and place crocodile clips at this point
3) take reading of ammeter and voltmeter and record this
4) Keep repeating this and decreasing wire length to 10cm
5) PLOT GRAPH

Q

WHY IS THERE MORE RESISTANCE WHEN THE WIRE IS LONGER

A

because more wire for electrons to flow through and more oppositions to resist them along the way
