1
Q

What does the circuit look like?

A

A battery connected by wires and a resistor.
The resistor is in series with an ammeter and a variable resistor.
We have have a voltmeter in parallel across the resistor

Q

What is the third step?

A

-Switch the direction of the battery so that the direction of the potential difference is now reversed
-Both the voltmeter and the ammeter should read negative values
-Take several readings
