1. The sample is kept on the dissection board.
2. The area touched by the sample is disinfected.
3. Gloves are used.

1. Use a sharp HB pencil
2. Make sure drawing is large enough for detail and labels (at least half a page advisable)
3. No shading
4. Use single and continuous lines (no sketching)
5. Label lines should be drawn with a ruler
6. Do not cross label lines
7. Lines should not have any arrows
8. Label all the structures
9. Do not use colour
10. Include a magnification/scale
