2) add hydrochloric acid to flask and swirl to mix reactants
3) start timer
4) watch cross through flask
5) when cross is no longer visible, stop timer
6) repeat exp hating hydrochloric acid at different concentrations

- corrosive acid can damage eyes
- sulfur dioxide gas can trigger asthma attacks, temp must be kept below 50°C
