What does the release of GnRH hormone do in regards t to female puberty?
Needed for sexual maturity & normal reporduction
Increase in oestrogen in women causes:
- breast development
- enlargement of organs
- widening of pelvis
- growth spirt

What are the hormonal changes that happen during menopause?
- hot flashes

Describe the process of fertilisation
The joining the sperm & ova
- sperm penetrates the corona radiata
describe the process of implantation
- Begins 6-7 days after ovulation
- completes by day 12 after ovulation
- trophoblast layers in placenta form
- inner cell mass will become the foetus
- trophoblast cells secrete human chonic gonadotropin hormone
