Explain the use of ovaries
They contain egg cells. One egg is released each month.
Explain the use of oviducts
They carry an egg to the uterus.
Explain the use of a uterus
This is where a baby develops until it is born.

Explain the use of the testes
The two testes are contained in a bag of skin called the scrotum. The testes produce sperm cells and the male sex hormones.
Explain the use of the glands
They produce nutrients that help to keep sperm alive. The mixture if sperm and fluid is called semen.
Explain the use of sperm ducts
These are tubes that carry sperm from the testes to the penis.
Explain the use of a urethra in the male system
A tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body or sperm from the stern duct.
Explain the use of a penis
This carries urine or semen out of the body. The penis swells with blood and stiffens. This is known as an erection, and allows the male to release sperm into a female during sexual intercourse. The bladder can not empty when the penis is erect, so semen and urine are never released at the same time.
