When the egg and sperm nucleus fuse

The ejection of sperm through the penis
What is implantation?
When the embryo sinks into the uterus lining

It makes sperm

It holds the testes
What is the function of the glands?
They add a liquid to the sperm
What is the function of the urethra?
It carries the sperm out of the body

It receives sperm
What is the function of the cervix?
It provides a ring of muscle
What is the function of the oviduct?
It carries the egg to the uterus
What is the function of the ovaries?
They make eggs
What is the purpose of the uterus?
It is where the foetus grows

They are specialised sex cells which contain half the genetic information needed to make a new organism
What is internal fertilisation?
When the egg cells are fertilised inside the female’s body
What is external fertilisation?
When the egg cells are fertilised outside the female’s body
