8 numbers for 10 x 10
What other geographic coordinate expressions are there?
DMS
DDM - degrees decimal mins
DD - decimal degrees
What do restrictive measures include? (Airspace)
No fire area
Restrictive fire area
Airspace coordination measure or area (acm/aca)
Two types of kill box?
Blue - permits air to surface fire without further coordination
Purple - same as blue but also permits surface to surface
What types of killbox status are there?
Established - planned approved with effective time
Effective time - start/end time
On order - for future ops
Cancelled - no longer established
Who is responsible for changing a kill box’s status?
C2 agency
What is the maximum permissible exposure (MPE)?
Level of laser radiation to which a person may be exposed without suffering adverse effects
Nominal ocular hazard distance (NOHD)?
Distance without scintillation, along axis from beam beyond which exposure would not be expected to exceed MPE for eye
Extended ocular hazard distance (EOHD)?
Same as EOHD but with magnifying optics used
How many classes of laser are there?
8 classes
What laser designator options are there?
Autonomous - launching aircraft designates own target
Remote - target is designated by something other than launching aircraft
What is a weapon danger zone?
Lateral and vertical ground/airspace splash zone for projectiles, fragments and debris around the detonation of ordinance
