What does the abstract stage include
It’s the first part of the repot and its usually 150-200 words long
Provides an overview of the study
Includes a summary of the following
Aims
Methods
Hypothesis
Results
Conclusion
What does the introduction include
Must explain the reasonings of the research to the reader and they do this by looking back at past research from a similar topic
It should include aims and research predictions
What does the method include
A description of the methods used
Includes the procedure, ethics, design, sample and apparatus
The design of the study must be clear and have an evident reasoning
Ethical issues should be included and the procedure must be in chronological order
What does the results section include
Description of what the researcher found in the study
Clear results and findings
Tables and graphs
Calculate values, such as level of significance
What does the discussion section include
Consider what the results mean in terms of psychological theory:
Summary of results
Relationship between previous research
Considerations of methodology
Suggestions for future research
What does the reference part include
A report must list all the sources
Refrancs can be from journals, articles and other studies
The format must be: Author, date, title
