- Beak & Feather Disease in birds
- Canine Circovirus (CanineCV)
Cause: Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV2)
Diseases:
- Post-Weaning Multisystemic Wasting Syndrome (PMWS):
Symptoms: Poor growth, weight loss, lymphadenopathy, respiratory distress, and diarrhea. - PCV2-associated Pneumonia:
Symptoms: Respiratory issues such as coughing and difficulty breathing. - PCV2-associated Dermatitis and Nephropathy Syndrome (PDNS):
Symptoms: Skin lesions, kidney damage, fever. - Reproductive Issues: Abortion or stillbirths in sows.
CYCLOVIRUS
Another genus within the CIRCOVIRIDAE FAMILY
Also circular, ssDNA genomes
Typically infects invertabrate
HOST:
mostly found in insects(invertebrate)
- have also been detected in human and animals though
their pathogenicity remains unclear.
