What should teachers remember when choosing repertoire for students?
We should remember that our role as teachers is to devise a balanced program of study for every student that we are privileged to teach. They all have unique strengths, interests, and talents. It is our responsibility to respect individual tastes and preferences with a view to building musical awareness, sensitive listening, touch control, and technical facility.
