Why did the French invade the Ruhr?
To get reparations from Germany in the forms of coal, food and other goods. They made the Germans do the work and took the goods for themselves

Why was their hyperinflation in 1923?
The government printed more money, without having more money in the country, causing the value of each mark to decrease until it was worth almost nothing

He signed the treaty of Versailles, therefore losing the German people lots of money
Why were many Germans in poverty after 1923?
Hyperinflation meant that the prices of the products went up but the German people didn’t receive more money, they just lost all the value of their money
Why was hyperinflation such a bad problem for the Weimar Republic?
It showed they were a foolish government that forced their country into poverty, trade was impossible
How did the government deal with the hyperinflation?
Gustav Stresemann borrowed money from USA in the Dawes plan, created a new currency and extended the deadline of the reparations in the young plan in 1929
