Hypokalemic Distal

Defect in urine acidification in the distal tubule with impaired excretion of hydrogen

unable to acidify their urine below a pH of 6.0

hypocitrauria leads to CaPO4 stones and nephrocalinosis.

Treat with potassium citrate
