List the management options for renal stones
A
watch and wait (<5mm)
(alpha blockers to relax ureters - tamsulosin)
shockwave lithotripsy 5-10mm (and consider in bigger ones)
uteroscopy 10-20mm
percuteneous nephrolithotomy (>20mm)
if septic/hydronephrosis nephrostomy

stone 4mm but they have hydronephrosis and a fever
what do you do
A
percutaneous nephrostomy and IV antibiotics
doesn’t matter about size, if they have evidence of hydro-nephrosis, deal with it
(nephrostomy not nephrolithotomy if they are acutely unwell)
