Concentration (of ions Na+, K+, Cl-, Mg+, HCO3-, H+, Ca2++ etc)

pH (long term acid base balance)

Metabolic (gluconeogenesis, glycogenesis, glycogenolysis, VitD synthesis)

Excretory - waste (urea, creatinine), drugs (water-soluble), toxins

Endocrine - renin (RAAS, water concentration), EPO (erythropoietin - controls production of RBCs)
