Chronic Glomerulonephritis
Hematuria, proteinuria, glycosuria (tubular damage), many types of casts including: granular, broad and waxy casts
Nephrotic Syndrome
**Marked proteinuria >3.5 g/day** Hematuria Fat droplets, oval fat bodies, fatty casts Renal Tubular Epis (RTE) and RTE casts Waxy casts low serum albumin
Acute Tubular Necrosis
RTE and RTE casts

Cystitis
Many WBCs, bacteria, increased pH, mild proteinuria, hematuria
Acute Pyelonephritis
Many WBCs, bacteria, increased pH, mild proteinuria, hematuria
WBC casts
Chronic Pyelonephritis
granular, waxy, and broad casts; increased protein, hematuria, low SG
Acute Interstitial Nephritis
hematuria, proteinuria,↑ WBCs, WBC casts, **no bacteria,
eosinophilia** (using hansel stain)
IgA Nephropathy
Increased serum IgA, granular, RBC casts
