Q

Structure in the poem?

A
  • he used real life language ‘legged it ‘ , ‘my mate’
  • the violent language is used with this to give a realness to what he is saying
  • half rhyme and bouncy four beat rhythm create a sense of ironic jollitity , disrupted by shorter lines at key moments .
  • enjambment also creates suspense
