Discuss the challenges of the early Apostles.
The early Apostles faced disapproval from Jewish leaders, Romans, and uncertain people, making it difficult to spread their message. They were also persecuted.
Identify the divisions between Jews and Gentiles
Jews and Gentiles are different as Jews follow the religion of Judaism, which has its own beliefs and practices. This can sometimes lead to separation and disagreements between the 2 groups as Gentiles are non-Jewish.
Identify how and why Christians were persecuted in the early church.
Christians were tortured, imprisoned or even executed in the early church as they refused to worship The Roman Gods, and their beliefs and practices were seen as a threat to the established religions.
What are some key events after Christs resurrection
Great Commission, The stoning of St Stephen, the Ascension and pentecost.
What is the Road to Emmaus
First sighting of Jesus after the resurrection, proving the scripture right about him rising from the dead.
Who was Stephen the Martyr
Stephen was a leader in the early Christian group in Jerusalem. He told people about Jesus. He was the first Martyr to be killed for his beliefs.
Who was Peter
Peter was one of the 12 Apostles, one of Jesus’ closest followers and a leader in the early Christian church.
Who was Paul
Paul, once Saul, changed from persecutor to preacher, spreading Christianity across the Roman Empire with his influential writings in the New Testament.
