Is showing grace and mercy, and pardoning someone for what they did.

What is reconciliation?
Restoring of harmony after relationships have broken down.
What does reconciliation bring?
- Appreciation/acceptance to each other
- A more peaceful futre. -Stronger relationship. -Opportunity to live without fear.
What did Old testament Prophet Amos teach about justice?
Creating justice is more important than ensuring worship is done correctly.
What do many Christians believe about righteous anger?
Is acceptable because it can be controlled and channelled into positive action.
How did Jesus show righteous anger?
When he drove the sellers from the temple as they had turned it into a market.
What is Just War Theory?
A set of conditions that must be met for a war to be considered justified.
Reasons for Just War?

‘Eye for an eye’, ‘tooth for a tooth’.

Fighting for a religious cause or God, probably controlled by a religious leader.

The Crusades.

The belief that war or violence is wrong and should never be used.

What is terrorism?
The unlawful use of violence, usually against innocent civilians.
Argument for terrorism at desperate time?
The Jewish Maccabees resorted to terrorism against non-Jewish power. Some argue it is justified as Judaism may not have survived.
