WOMD’s are weapons that can kill large numbers of people and cause must destruction. The weapon types are : Nuclear, biological and chemical. People justify the use of these weapons because it caused japan to exit the war which in turn ended the war.
What is a just war. Name 4 conditions for a war to be a just war.
A just war is a war that meets internationally accepted criteria of fairness.
1. Must have a just cause (self-defence or defending someone else)
2. Methods used to fight must be proportional to achieve success.
3. Fighting must be last resort
4. Must have a reasonable chance of success
What is a holy war. Give example of a holy war.
Fighting for a religious cause or God. For Christians the purpose should be to defend the Christian faith. Those who take part believe they will get spiritual rewards and if they die in battle will go straight to heaven. The crusades war between Muslims and Christians.

A pacifist is someone who believes war and violence can never be justified and that conflicts should be settled in a peaceful way. Christians may be a pacifist because the bible says “Blessed are the peacemakers.”

Christians believe that they should “love their neighbour.” The parable of the good Samaritan teaches Christians to treat all people no matter their race,gender,age,ethnicity and political beliefs with respect.
