What is a Menorah?
A Menorah is a 7 or 9 branched candelabra that is placed on the Bihmah (raised platform) in every synagogue.
What stories are kept in the Torah?
The first five scriptures of the Old Testament. It is kind of like the Hebrew Bible.
Where is the Torah read in a Synagogue?
The centre of the synagogue, on a raised platform called the Bihmah

The rabbi (priest) and Cantor (lead singing and prayer)

Is a place of community, teaching and worship. It is also called a temple and is just like a church!

When do you light the Shabbat candles and who light them?
18 minutes until sundown every Friday and the eldest women lights it.
Are you allowed to drive on Shabbat?
Well then what can I do?
No! But you are allowed to play board games, spend time with your family and go to the synagogue.
How long does Shabbatt last for?
25 hours - Friday 18 minutes before sundown until Saturday night
Who and what do you bless during Shabbatt?
Children, Women, Kiddush, Challah and Candles.
What is stored in a Mezuzah?
The Shema - One of the most sacred Jewish prayers
Where is the Mezuzah kept and when do you touch it?
Every doorpost (Right hand side in a house) exept the toilet and bathroom and every time you walk it you touch it then kiss your hand.

Triangles, The top one represents God is always above you and the bottom one shows that God watches down onto you!

Mostly, ALL THE TIME! Probably not to bed but at home, in the synagogue and in their day-to-day life.

Why is Communal prayer important?
Because you come together as a community and learn about your religion, traditions you have and say sacred prayers. Some examples of theis are Church gatherings or School masses.

What is the difference between a Kippah and Humility?
God suggests to use both of those things wisely.
