reasoning used to understand the world using facts and knowledge

reasoning when acting through moral principles (using reasons to decide how to act)

actions that are backed with good intent

a guiding principle to determine behaviour(Simple rules/or saying that tell us what right and wrong is)
Moral Imperative
a principle compelling a person to act to moral duty
Categorical Imperative
laws all persons must follow

quality of being good

(levinas) idea that encountering a human imposes ethical responsibility (When you see somebody think of them as somebody with feelings,not just what you see)

all thoughts/actions/desires are caused by previous events and behaviour is formed for you not by you

the part of the mind seeking pleasure
Superego
moral conscience that cause you to feel shame and embarrassment
Predestination
the belief all events are predetermined by the divine
Providence
God’s guidance and influence over care and creation
Sublimation
Using bad emotions to do good (ex. When you are mad you go for a run)
Neurotic
mental distress/anxiety from unresolved conflicts
