Due the current global society, filled with misconceptions, Muslims mainly contribute to world peace by
prioritising initiatives that aim to increase non-Muslims knowledge of what the true Islam is and its beliefs and teachings in the Qur’an and Hadith.
The Muslim Peace Fellowship inspired by God’s command in the Qur’an,
“Let there be no compulsion in religion”, believes “the beauty of Islam can only reach fruition in a conscious and voluntary global harmony”. They work against injustice and for peace internally and in families, communities and the world through initiatives including publications, service projects, teaching and interfaith social action.

To reach a state of inner peace Muslims must be at peace with Allah through the Five Pillars of Islam that are derived from the Qur’an and the Hadith.
Through Salat, all Muslims aspects of life are directed at God to encourage both a sense of personal and a commitment to peace with others. During Salat they recite, “Peace be on us and on the righteous servants of Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah”, intertwining the Pillar of Shahada, to help them submit to Allah and accordingly attain inner peace. This practice sought from the Qur’an also remind Muslims to take part in Hajj as they face Mecca and the Kaa’ba. Hajj allows them to physically follow the path of Mohammad, remind them of the equality of all and is the ultimate symbol of Ummah. This ultimately means, “the reward for Hajj is nothing less than paradise” (Hadith) as it is living out the teachings expressed in the sacred texts to come together in peace to sumbit to the Will of Allah and fundamentally obtain inner peace.

Daily prayer provides a structure or rhythm that directs all aspects of life to God. This ritual encourages both a sense of personal peace and a commitment to peace with others.
Zakat (charity) peace
The obligation to give 2.5% of earnings to support those in need is a reminder to Muslims of their responsibility to create communities of justice where the weak are supported. This emphasis on justice is an essential component of peace.
Sawm (fasting during Ramadan) peace
The fast during Ramadan challenge believers to review how faithfully they are living the requirements of their faith. In addition they are required to read the entire Qur’an to increase their understanding of what Islam requires of them in relation to living in right relationship and consequently in regard to peace.
Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca) peace
The pilgrimage to Mecca is the ultimate symbol to the Ummah. It emphasises the equality of all people and challenges the participants to practice the inherent qualities of peace in their lives.
