Beatitudes
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God” (Matt 5:9)
Beatitudes are examples prescribed by Jesus that aid followers in how to live a Christian life. Christians are encouraged to model their peace making on Christ’s example. The beatitudes reflect on the state of the human being in their human condition, with human condition consisting of suffering, inequality, and injustice. The beatitudes show that is it key to the kingdom of heaven and the moral character that is required to reach eternal life, peace being one of those aspects

Love Your Neighbour
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse… live in harmony with one another” (Romans 12:14-16)
Jesus made this concept central to Christianity as Chriostoans strive to understand and live out this central principle of the Gospel. A Christian is guided to have a profound concern for the welfare of others, and ‘love thy neighbour’ remains a fundamental law of the Gospel and of human existence.
Love thy neighbour is foundational belief of Christianity that believers should always endeavour to be at peace with everyone and treat all people how they would want to be treated, and seek reconciliation where there is disharmony

PAX CHRISTI
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives” (John 14:27)
Pax Christi is seen as a way of life for Christians,. Christianity teaches that peace is something adherents should earnestly seek because they are instructed by God to emulate Jesus following his teachings. Scriptures patently characterise Jesus as the one sent by God, who offers peace and who has become this peace through his own life, death and resurrection. Jesus is described as the prince of peace
Peace given by God to humanity - it is about earthly peace, and it implies peace which is intrinsic to all human

The ministry of Jesus highlights prayer in order to keep balance. Thus allows adherents to reflect on the nature of peace in their lives. Prayer sustain the relationship with God, which is his source of wellbeing and inner peace, tranquility, reflection on daily actions and practices whether they align with God’s plan
“But where you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your father who is in secret and your father who sees in secret will reward you (Mathew 6:6)
Example - Taize’ is an international, ecumenical movement that promotes personal and communal peace through prayer and meditation. Individuals are able to travel as a pilgrim in order to achieve a sense of wellbeing and peace to develop their relationship with God

Forgiveness
Through the death of Christ, forgiveness is available to the repentant sinner, allowing them to have peace with God which is the very foundation of ‘inner peace’
“Through Jesus, Christians are free to ask for forgiveness “through thus man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you” (Acts 13:38)
Forgiveness of others:
“Forgive and you will forgiven” (Luke 6:37)
By forgiving others Christians are likely to experience inner peace rather than hostility and anger
Example - In the CATHOLIC CHURCH reconciliation is a sacrament of forgiveness that allows adherents to repent for their sins to a priest, which promotes inner peace for God, Jesus and the forgiveness of themselves for making a unethical decisions

Eucharist
In the Eucharist, Christians are incorporated into a much larger transnational body, The body of Christ. Eurcharistic prayers are offered for the peace of the world, asking that the Eucharist ``advance the peace and salvation of all of the world”
Christians take seriously the kiss of peace before communion, so that adherents are truly reconciled before the table of peace
In each of these actions the individual is striving to achieve peace through the liturgical life of the Church
Example - Holy Communion is a sacrament of initiation that promotes inner peace of the adherent by taking the body of christ which nourishes the soul of an adherent ….. Jack lopez please help me word this
“Pope Benedict - “All who partake of the Eucharist must commit themselves to peacemaking in our world scarred of violence and war, and today in particular by terrorism, economic corruption and sexual exploitation”

Service
Chrisitaintiy teaches about service. In mark 10:42-44 Jesus says that whoever wishes to be first must be the last and be a servant of all. “For the son of man came not to be served but to serve and give his life ransom for many” Mark 10:45
Peace and peacemaking can be understood as living the PAX CHRISTI tradition within Chrisitanity. Individuals can achieve inner peace by contributing to service
Example - personal involvement in organisations that seek to serve the poor and marginalised (St Vincent de Paul, Uniting Church Outreach, Salvation Army) Commit to building the kingdom of God through service and a Christian community, this assists the individual to attain personal peace. - Like St Francis of Assi said it is in giving that we recieve, when we are of service to others, we emulate Jesus which build sinner peace of good relationships with others, a sense of doing of common good
