Animism
Anima (spirit)
Belief that things within nature-animated and sometimes inanimate- are energized by spirits
Asceticism
Askesis (to exercise)
An analogous to a spiritual athlete in Greek parlance.
Exercises behavior that is intended to control body and mind.
Ex. Self denial, celibacy, pain
Death
End of life, certain fact of living, only thing that is certain, non relative, irreversible, imminent
Economy
Members of a domestic household.
Broader concept includes production of goods and services, exchanges, distribution, consumption, profit making, price setting, and market forces.
Sacred
Sacer (holy) sacrare (to devote), sancire (to make holy), and hieros (holy or sacred)
