Test-retest?

A

Same test is given to someone on two occasions - same results = reliable

Inter-observer?

A

Observers watch an event usually in a pilot study to see if they record the same behaviours - if they do record the same then it’s reliable

Using a correlation?

A

In test-retest and inter-observer the two sets of scores are correlated. The correlation co-efficient should exceed +80 for reliability
