What do CoE beleive about Divorces
A couple should work hard to keep vows however it does recognise that it happens for ‘all sorts of sad and painful reasons’ on the CoE website
They see it as a priority to care for the couple
What do Catholic beleive about divorce
Marriage is permamnent and doesnt break the holy agreement made with God and that they should work on restoreing marriage and not enter any other sexual relationships
What do Catholics think about Cohabitation
That everytime sex happens there should be possibility for new life to be created and that sex outside marriage is considered wrong
What do CoE think about Cohabitation
That sexual realtions should take place inside the marriage but accept that cohabitation is a step towards the cocmmitment of marriage
What do both churches (C and CoE) beleive about civil partnerships
Against and do not perform them beacuase their teachings about sexual relations
What do liberal Christians believe about Civil Partnerships
That they should be acceptable and the bibilcal value of equality and Gods desire to bless lifelong marriages regardless of the sex of the couple
What does Fidelity mean
That a marrried couple are faithul and commited to each other
What happens during a quaker wedding
the belief that only God can join the couple together so they have no minister and will sit in silent worship uuntil they feel like it is time to say their vows.
What will happen to a child of a CofE or RC faith
- be baptised
- Help bring up child of christian faith
- Attend sunday school
- Confirmation if chosen
