  2. there is a 3 month waiting period. The couple don’t sleep together. The husband declares 3 times, “ I divorce you” in front of witnesses
  3. At the end of the 3 months, if the wife is not pregnant, the marriage is needed and the couple are free to remarry. This is encouraged
