Mothers and fathers are expected to have equal parts in a family but different responsibilities. Traditionally, women should be in submission to men (adam/eve) and carry out domestic duties. However with growth of society and liberal christians, both genders can contribute in various ways. In time of Jesus men played a more dominant role as all his disciples were male.
What are christian beliefs about family?
Important to worship together as a family. Important to celebrate special events together. Family should be based from man and women and children. Children raised in a loving environment. Family should help raise children in the faith to God. Bible shows parents and children have specific roles. Children learn their morals. Parents teach the morals.

Sex is allowed within married, it is sacred and holy and a gift from God. Adultery is a sin and promiscuity is also wrong. Catholics= Sex outside marriage is “grave sin” as the purpose is to procreate. Anglican= Sex is god given expression of love. “Be fruitful and Multiply”, ‘Flee from sexual immortality”

Why do some Anglicans accept cohabitation in committed relationships?
Can strength marriage in long run,
Society has changed,
Marriage is expensive and difficult,
Many couples have children outside of marriage now

What are christian beliefs about divorce and remarriage?
Divorce is accepted as a legal ending to a marriage. Every effort should be made to rebuild it. Ministers are free to chose whether to conduct a remarriage service. Catholic church:
Marriage is a lifelong commitment that only ends at death. Marriage is a sacrament and therefore cannot be dissolved. A civil divorce may be allowed but then remarriage is not possible. An annulment is available where there is a complete breakdown and then remarriage is possible.
What are islam beliefs about family?
Family is an import part of Ummah. Islam commands men and women to get married. Children should develop their faith through parents. Children taught to be moral. Take part in festivals together. Important to all keep a halal diet. Children should obey their parents “Be good to your parents”-Surah. Children should take care of their parents. Traditional for parents to chose their childs partners.

Expected to have equal play in roles but diff responsibilities. Qur’an indicates that men and women are equal in Gods eyes. However, some believe men and women have different strengths and this should be adapted to the family. Traditional views, wives are expected to be obedient to their husbands. Muhammed said that the mother is the most important family member.

Sex should only happen within marriage. Sex is considered an act of worship. Married couples are expected to meet each others needs. Sex outside of marriage is always wrong. Sex should be between man and women. “have nothing to do with adultery”

women cant marry and non-muslim but a man can marry a jew or christian as there from monotheistic religions.
Why is adultery wrong islam?

Muslim beliefs on arranged marriages?
In a strict mulsim society it may be difficult to communicated with other men and find a partner, so perants chose a suitable man. Forced marriage is not allowed.
Islamic beliefs on divorce and remarriage?
They highly discourage it but allowed as a last resort. “Divorce is most hated by Allah” A period of three months (Iddah) should be taken first to try and reconcile. Remarriage is allowed as there is no concept of celibacy.
