Role on the wall:
A visual opportunity to infer meaning and characteristics about a character.
Improvisation:
Created spontaneously or without preparation.
Magic if:
Think about what the character would do if in a particular situation.
Hot seating:
In character the actor sits on the hot seat and is asked questions about a particular event.
Teacher in role:
Teacher involved in a roleplay.
Emotional memory:
An actor recalls own experiences of a physical mental or emotional time and uses this in character.
Circle of attention:
The more focused the actor is on the stage, the more focus the audience are on the play.
Given circumstance:
What , who , when , where , how and why of the character.
Relaxation:
Used to remove tension and relax muscles in preparation for acting.
Super objective:
The super objective serves as the final goal that a character wishes to achieve.
Unified walking pace:
Walking around the space creating a single walking rhythm in a group focus.
Round by through:
In pairs literally create the movement using the directions.
Chair duets:
Frantic assembly devising technique - start with movement and then add speech.
Go stop clap jump:
A physical and mental warm up to be explored in a group.
Storyboard:
A sequence of drawings to plot out a performance piece.
