A

Unnecessary drugs
- excessive dose, duration, inadequate monitoring , without adequate indication, with adverse consequences, duplicate therapy (or any combo of these reasons)
- results in GDR requirements- specifically for antipsychotic drugs
Intent: promote or maintain the residents highest practicable mental physical and psychosocial well being
Only meds necessary used, for minimal duration and dose
Minimized adverse consequences
Monitor regimen and modify as appropriate
