Dual Pilot= must be equipped with an approved FD, AP, or HUD approved for CAT 1. Crew must use FD, AP, or HUD to DA unless adequate visual reference is obtained.
What are the requirements of a single pilot to conduct approaches using CAT 1 Landing Minimums?
Must use AP and FD.
High minimums capatains will increase Ops Specs minimums by?
100’ and 1/2 mile.

1 NavAid- Add 400’ and 1 SM.

Standard is 1 SM.
GOM>C057 allows us to use minimums equal to the lowest authorized straight in Category 1 IFR landing minimum.
When are you required to file an alternate airport?
ANYTIME one hour before to one hour after the visibility will not be:
- Ceiling at least 1,500 above the lowest circling approach MDA; or
- Circling NA, ceiling will be at least 1,500’ above the lowest published minimum or 2,000’ above the airport elevation, whichever is higher; and
- Visibility if forecasted to be at least 3 SM, or 2 miles more than the lowest minimum, whichever is greater.
