Civil penalties up to $27,500 and up to $250,000 for criminal penalties.
How high can you fly your drone?
400 ft AGL
How high can you fly over a structure?
If you are within 400 ft of structure you can fly 400 ft over the structure. If the structure is 200 ft you can fly 600 ft total. As a recreational pilot you can only fly 400 ft.
When can you fly over 400 ft?
In flight emergency. Report to FAA upon request. If you avoid a collision with a manned aircraft you can go over 400 ft to avoid collision.
Can you get a waiver to fly over 400 ft?
Yes, from FAA.
Can you fly over 400 ft in controlled airspace? B, C, D, E2.
You cannot fly over 400 ft in controlled airspace, even over structures.
What is the minimum visibility to fly your drone?
3 SM (Statuate miles)
What distance can you fly close to clouds?
500 ft below clouds and 2000 ft horizontally from clouds.
What is minimum distance to guy wires?
2000 ft
