Examples of Misconduct
(Model Rule 8.4/CRPC 8.4)
A
- Can’t violate (or attempt) to violate rules or knowingly assist or induce someone else to do violate rule.
- Can’t do crimes re: truthiness (anything that would reflect lack of trustworthiness or honesty).
- No conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.
- Don’t do things that is prejudicial to the administration of justice.
- Don’t talk about or imply any ability to improperly influence govt agency or official or suggest you can win by violating rules of conduct.
- Don’t knowingly assist a judicial officer in conduct that is a violation of applicable rules of judicial conduct or other law.

Harassment & Discrimination
A
Model Rules says you can’t harass or discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin etc.
California goes further than the model rules by saying no discrimination against any protected characteristic and includes things ABA Doesn’t such as ancestry, gender identity, and gender expression.
