Lawyers only have willfully act or willfully refrain from acting to violate an ethical rule. They can be disciplined even if they did so in good faith, and not knowing that what they did (or didn’t do) was in violation of the rules.

Informed written consent means that client must be fully informed after receiving all of that relevant information does the client issue written consent to the transaction in question.
