- Regulate & promote the flow of Qi: Epi & Abd Distention, Indigestion, Belching, N/V d/t SP & ST Qi Stagnation
- Adjust the Middle Jiao: Chest, Epi, Abd Distention, Poor Appetite, Fatigue, Loose stool; Thick & sticky tongue coat d/t Middle Jiao Dampness
- Dry Damp & resolve Phlegm: Cough, Copious sputum, difficult breathing d/t Phlegm-Dampness
Ju He: Guide – Testicles, bulging disorders
Ju Ye: Breast abscess, disperses clumps
Ju Hong: more drying & aromatic vs. Chen Pi
Caution/CI: allergy to citrus

Sl. Cold | Bitter, Acrid
Spleen-Stomach-Large Int
- Strongly regulates Qi (downward) & eliminates food stagnation & other types of accumulations: Abd distention, Constipation, Diarrhea w/Tenesmus d/t Food Stag or Heat in Large Int; Wood Earth/Liver Spleen
- Resolves Phlegm for relieving distention in chest & epigastrium (i.e., CHD)
- Prolapse of Stomach, Uterus, Rectum: + Qi tonic herbs
Zhi Shi = Constipation (Qi master) vs. Zhi Ke = Abd. Distention (specific to diaphragm)

- Promotes movement of Qi at Blood level
- Frees Liver QI: moves qi at blood level; Costal & Hypochon. Pain, Epigastric Pain, Abdominal Pain d/t Liver Qi Stagnation; Liver Spleen
- Regulates Menses, Gynecological issues d/t Liver Qi Stagnation
