- Major herb for Damp-Heat in Stomach & Int: diarrhea, dysentery
- LUNG HEAT TOXINS: cough, sticky-yellow phlegm, thirst
- cools heat in blood (stops bleeding): hemoptysis, hemafecia, epistaxis, hematemesis, uterine bleed
- Calm fetus & Threaten miscarriage (d/t Heat)
HDI: Antibiotics (true) [helps with]
Xiao Chai Hu Tang: huang qin + chai hu

- Fire Toxins: carbuncles, boils, eczema, sores

- Clears accumulated D-H clumps & disrupts qi separation fxn of Bladder (qi transformation)

- D-H in Lower Jiao: diarrhea, dysentery, jaundice, leucorrhea, dysuria, burning urination (promotes urination)
- Tonify w/o Tonifying
