Who were the political stakeholders in the Olympic Park Regeneration?

A

The U.K central government: The Government wanted to ensure that the games were sustainable and that the area would be used post 2012

Local governments: Four London boroughs hosted the games and all of them wanted them to be sustainable

Regional Governments: The London Assembly was responsible for the smooth running of the games and ensured that development in East London continued after the game

A

Local economy stakeholders: Many local companies had to be moved to make way for the games

Environmental stakeholders: The construction of the Olympic park also involved cleaning up the environment around the park and creating new wetland habitats

Stakeholders in people: The construction of the athletes village resulted in the relocation of many families. The athletes village was also converted into affordable housing
