Refugees are people who have to flee their country and cross a border

A
People leave their country and become refugees in order to escape war, persecution or violence

What difficulties do refugees face?
A
Refugees struggle to re-integrate in new societies due to numerous reasons such as language barriers, lack of belongings and work opportunities

A
IDPs (Internally displaced people) are similar to refugees but are unable to leave their own country’s border

A
There are a number of laws in place to protect refugees but IDPs are completely unprotected by international law
