Define Mass Flow Rate (m)
The mass rate of movement of the refrigerant throughout the refrigeration system
What is Net Refrigeration Effect (NRE)
Heat gained in the evaporator. Heat absorbed by one pound of refrigerant as it travels through the evaporator
What is heat of compression (HOC)
Heat added from the compressor
What is Bernoullis Law?
An increase in fluid flow is an increase in velocity pressure.
The sum of both the static pressure and velocity pressure
An increase in fluid flow in a given direction results in a decrease in the lateral, or static, pressure applied by that fluid
What is Pascals Law?
In a closed system, a change in fluid pressure results in an equal change in pressure applied throughout the fluid at a given level
What is Daltons law?
Total pressure of a mixture of gases is the sum of each individual gas pressure
What is the Mass Flow Rate Calculation?
200 BTU’S/Min ÷ NRE
