3
Q

How do we find superheat

A

First convert suction pressure into temperature using PT chart. Then suction line temperature minus temperature evaporator saturation temperature

Q

How do we find sub – cooled

A

First convert discharge pressure into temperature using the PT chart. Then condenser saturation temperature minus liquid line temperature

5
Q

What causes the evaporator split and how do we calculated it

A

It happens because we absorb heat from the return air, it is the return air temperature minus the supply air temperature

Q

What causes the condenser split and how do we calculate it

A

It happens because we reject the heat from the condensing coil, discharge air temperature minus the outdoor air temperature
