What is refraction
A
The bending of light or sound as it passes through a medium

What are optically denser mediums
A
those in which the speed of light decreases as it travels through them

What happens if a wave passes through a more optically dense medium?
A
The wave will be refracted (separated) at the boundary line (in between 2 materials) and will change direction bending towards the normal

What is the normal?
A
A line at right angles to the interface (a point where 2 subjects meet) between two materials

What happens if waves travel from air to glass?
A
The speed decreases
The wavelength decreases
The light bends closer to the normal
