Western Schism was that France had there own pope and Rome had there own pope no one knew who to believe.
How did John Huss set the stage for the Reformation?
John Huss spoke out against many of the core beliefs in the Roman Catholic church. He preached at his church in the language of the people
How did John Wycliff set the stage for the Reformation?
owed a Bible and studied it and then told the Roman Catholic Church what they were doing wrong. He showed people that they could stand up to the church in faith.

used Wycliffs teaching to speak against the church, He spoke out against Church theology, and transubstantiation, Jesus is the head of the church, not the pope, the Bible should be our guide, not the priest or pope, called to testify in front of the council promised safety but refused to recant so he was burned at the stake

He was the spokesman for the church and spoke about encouraging people to buy indulgences in the church so they could get or wouldn’t have to go to purgatory. The cost of an indulgence was half of a full year’s salary
John Calvin
He was suddenly convicted and then converted to Protestantism.
As a result, was kicked out of France and ended up staying in Geneva Switzerland. He battled bad health
