Stim - Place infant quadruped over lap, flex neck
Response - Arms flex and legs extend
STNR E (Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex - Extension)

Stim - Place infant quadruped over on your lap, extend neck
Response - Arms extend and legs flex
Associated Movements
Seen: always evident under stress
Stim - Supine, have person squeeze object with one hand
Response - Other hand also flexes
Positive Support
Seen: 3-8mo; Integ: 8-10mo
Stim - Hold infant in a standing position. Bounce several times on balls of feet
Response - Extensor tone in LE - maintain extension
Negative Support
Seen: 8-10mo & Persists
Stim - Hold infant in a standing position. Bounce several times on balls of feet
Response - Extensor tone than release of tone
Moro
Seen: 28w G, Integ: 2-6mo
Stim - 1. Loud noise 2. Semi -recline infant in your forearms, supporting head;drop head back
Response - Abduction, extension, ex rot of UE with extension and abduction of fingers then flexion of adduction of UE
Parachute
Seen: 6-9mo; Persists
Stim - Hold infant in the air, supporting at the trunk and quickly move baby upside down, head first
Response - Extension of arms and abduction and extension of fingers
Landau
Seen: 3-4mo; Integ: 12-24mo
Stim - Hold infant up in prone, supporting trunk
Response - Neck, upper and LE extend
Protective Extension
Front: 6-7mo; Side: 6-11mo; Back: 9-12mo & Persists
Stim - Infant sitting, push off balance to front sides or back
Response - Arm extends to catch self on supporting surface
Optical Righting
Prone: 1-2mo; Supine: 6mo; Sides: 6mo & Persists
Stim - Hold child or supine, or upright and tilt to one side
Response - Child brings head to the vertical position with a horizontal mouth
Labyrinthine Righting

Stim - Hold child or supine, or upright and tilt to one side with vision occluded
Response - Child brings head to the vertical position with a horizontal mouth
Neck Righting

Stim - Supine, rotate head to one side
Response - Body turns as a whole unit
Body Righting

Stim - 1. Supine, rotate head to one side 2. Supine rotate on hip up and over body
Response - Body turns segmentally
Body on Head Righting
