What is the babinksi response
Put pressure along the lateral border of the plantar aspect of the foot from the heel
Extension of the big toe and downward fanning out if reminding toes is an abnormal response, a normal response is for all toes to flex
May indicate a upper motor nueron lesion
What is clonus
An exaggerated reflex characterised by intermittent muscular contraction and relaxation produced by sustained stretching of a muscle
It suggests and upper motor neurone lesion
