Reflective Practice Flashcards

Q

What is reflective practice?

A

A technique for learning from experience.
Summarised as:
1. Things (experiences) that happen to a person
2. The reflective processes that enable a person to learn from those experiences
3. The action that results from the new perspectives that are taken

This is known as the ERA (experience-reflection-action) cycle. All three elements must be present for reflective practice to occur.
