What is specular reflection?
A
The reflection of light off a flat surface (boundary). All normal lines are in the same direction and light is reflected in one direction.

What is diffuse/scattered reflection?
A
The reflection of light off a bumpy surface (boundary). All normal lines are travelling in different directions so light is reflected in different directions.

What should a ray diagram contain?
A
Incoming ray, angle of incidence, the normal, reflected ray, angle of refraction, and the boundary (surface that light is reflected off of).
