Stomach
Innervation: Para: Vagal trunks which stimulate peristalsis and acid secretion Symp: Greater Splanchic
Referral: T6-9 dermatome, epigastric, left hypochondraic region
Appendix
Innervation: Nerves from superior mesentaric plexus@ T10
Referral: Periumbilical region and lateral to R lower quadrant
Large Intestine (Proximal Colon)
Innervation: Para: vagus nerve Symp: great splanchic nerve
Referral: Hypogastric
Large Intestine (Distal Colon)
Para: Pelvic splanchic nerve Symp: Great splanchic nerve to inferior mesentaric plexus
Referral: Left lower quadrant
Liver
Para: Ant and Post vagal trunk into hepatic plexus
Symp: hepatic plexus from cealic plexus T6-T9
Referral: Epigastric, R hypochondriac to R shoulder and post abdominal wall due to diaphragm irritation
Gall Bladder
Para: Vagus Nerve
Symp: Celiac plexus, sensory is R Phrenic Nerve
Referral: Epigastric, R hypochondriac to R shoulder and post abdominal wall due to diaphragm irritation
Suprarenal Gland
Para: fibers from vagal trunk
Symp: Great splanchic nerves
Referral: Small of back, flank above iliac crest, genitals
Kidney(Ureter)
Para: Vagal trunk
Symp: Thoracic and lumbar splanchic @ T11-12
Referral small of back, flank above iliac crest, genitals
Spleen
Celiac ganglia from greater splanchic nerves T6-T8
Referral” L hypochondriac along mid axillary line
Pancreas
Para: vagal turnk (inc insulin/glucagon)
Symp: thoracic splanchic (Inhibit insulin)
Referral: Inferior part of epigastric gregion
