A

Due to 2-1 of Labor party voting to leave EEC public referendum was held to join back very strong yes vote so the PM could claim a mandate to do so without collapse of party.

Summarize 2011 Alternate vote referendum

A

in 2010 Conservative Lib Dem coalition, Lib Dem’s campaigned for electoral system reform against their coalition party the Conservatives. Anti AV adds very successful lying about cost and outcomes of the system. Voters also unhappy with how Lib Dems had not put this in their manifesto. So didn’t work.

Summarize 2016 EU membership referendum (Brexit)

A

After Conservative Manifesto pledge to do so . PM voted remain, vote leave fronted by MP at the time Boris Johnson. Lab party in favor of remain. Con and Lab allowed MP’s to campaign ever way on this matter. End result 51.9% leave.
